Announcements / summer conference close to 600 people present....silent auction goes to nc state science club $1427. Raffled hive $585. Catawba valley sold shirts $2000. Special thanks to those who helped
Spring conference in Rockhill 2017. Summer 2017 will be in Winston Salem 100 year anniversary.
Two fairs coming up....second week in August is Drexel and last week in August is Burke county....Robert Smith will be asking for help. Alton will have a booth and will be selling honey.
Next months (August) meeting at 6 at the garden behind Ag building....Jeff Ritchie demonstrating splits....bring veils.
Charles Wilson , treasurer, reported approximately $2700 in bank.
A $50 memorial was sent to Donna's church in memory her mother.
Minutes will start being added to the website
Charles announced about science club....chuck stated you can go to DMV and get a save the honeybee tag $15....and customized is $30 for a $45 dollar yearly cost...NC State Apiculture gets some of the money.
Club honey extractor is available....sign out through the office (must present your membership card).
September 13 will be picnic....meat and buns supplied....eat ware supplied...families are welcome....bring a side and an appetite .....a sign-up sheet for the picnic was passed around.
Anyone that wants to donate honey for "Honey for Disabled Vets" needs to donate by next month....they will need it before September.

September 9-18....Mountain State Fair in Fletcher ...Lewis asking for volunteers...vip parking free ticket....bring and sell honey and keep money....4 hour time slots...across from the Asheville airport. Fair covers 21 counties in the west. A sign-up sheet for the Mountain State Fair was passed for interested persons to sign up.
