Welcome to the Burke County Beekeepers Association (BCBA) website. We hope you find it both informative and interesting. **The BCBA will meet on MONDAY night, June 11th, 6:30pm, at the Agricultural Extension Office, 130 Ammons Drive in Morganton.
**The August 13th monthly meeting will be held at the Western Piedmont Community College garden location. The event will begin at 6:00pm. Jeff Ritchie, a local nuc and queen provider, will open his hives and and provide insight to the well being of a beehive. Jeff's presentations have always been an educational highlight of BCBA endeavors to educate our local beekeepers. In case of inclement weather this event will be canceled. Please consult our website for announcements regarding weather. To get to the WPCC garden go north on E College Drive from Ammons Drive. After you pass the green house and pass Building K, turn left (before barn) this is Campus Connector Drive. Campus Connector will turn into a dirt road. Go about 500 yards, you'll see the hives.
We have a different speaker every month and the public is invited to attend and, hopefully, join our association. Please note this is a change of meeting nights.
